Back of the Envelope
Hedy Lamarr and George Antheil had an idea that was radically different
- communication through multiple frequency channels. The concept of just
how to implement what's now known as Frequency Hopping was scribbled in
pencil on an envelope in Antheil's home. The genesis of that idea - the
seminal concept behind spread spectrum - is immortalized on this envelope,
published here for the first time for the world to see.
